MACHINING BY CUTTING, FORMING AND GRINDING

Želvoz has machining capacities for metal cutting on conventional machine tools as well as a number of CNC machines. As a special capability, Želvoz has a CNC machine for turning monobloc wheels for wagons, locomotives and any other driving or driven wheels to the required profile, machining both wheel profiles simultaneously while the wheels are mounted on the axle.

  • Turning of all steels up to 500 mm in diameter and 3000 mm in length, with N6 surface finish
  • Milling of workpieces weighing up to 15 t, with surface finish up to N8
  • Planing of workpieces weighing up to 2 t, with surface finish up to N10
  • Grinding

For these operations Želvoz has a large number of machines, most notably:

  • 1512 vertical boring mill with a maximum machining diameter of 1100 mm
  • Niles Werke vertical boring mill with a machining capacity of 1452 mm
  • BG 130p horizontal boring mill with a working range of 4000 mm x 950 mm x 2600 mm
  • Wheel and tyre lathe with a machining capacity of 1400 mm x 2500 mm
  • 900M universal lathe, max. machining diameter 500 mm, machining length 3500 mm
  • Potisje Ada PA 631P lathe, max. machining diameter 500 mm, length 3000 mm

Želvoz also has a number of machines for metal forming, i.e. presses, shears, rolls and similar equipment, and can provide plate rolling to the required diameter for thicknesses up to 25 mm and bending widths up to 3000 mm. We can also cut steel plates up to 16 mm thick into the required blanks or components up to 3000 mm wide. In addition, we can bend to the required angle of up to 90° with forces of 400 t and 100 t.

For this type of operation Želvoz has the following machines and equipment:

  • MG 3100 hydraulic guillotine shears / 14 - 16 mm material thickness
  • MG 3100 hydraulic guillotine shears / 10-12 mm material thickness
  • R/MG 3100 hydraulic guillotine shears / 6 mm material thickness
  • Litostroj 400-tonne hydraulic press brake for bending sheets of various thicknesses from (0 – 90)°, HKOC - 1 - 400 – 600
  • Litostroj 100-tonne hydraulic press for angle bending of sheets of various thicknesses, AP-100
  • Plate bending rolls up to 16 mm x 3000 mm (Hardox steel can be bent)
  • Plate bending rolls up to 8 mm x 2500 mm (Hardox steel can be bent)
  • OVM 5-300 profile cutting machine, max. cutting thickness 80 mm

As a separate service segment we offer cutting of sheet metal to size from plates or coils according to the customer's requirements and drawings, as well as other operations for making parts or items from sheet plates or coils (bending, straightening, blanking and punching of holes or simpler shapes of various forms and purposes), in other words what is commonly known as metal fabrication.
